Thanks for visiting the internet home of the Heyduk Group! We are an inorganic chemistry group in the Department of Chemistry at UC Irvine. Our primary interests are the synthesis, reactivity, and physical studies of transition-metal complexes with novel redox-active ligands. We believe that such complexes provide a unique strategy for multi-electron small molecule activation reactions with application to biggest challenges in chemistry such as C–H bond functionalization, N2 and CO2 reduction, and solar energy conversion.
